Ever since the season finished, the main topic of conversation for some supporters, has been who would replace Capital One as the clubs’ new sponsors. I’ve never quite understood the fascination with which some fans treat this matter, but today for those that are interested, the gig goes to Victor Chandler.
According to the official site, Victor Chandler are ‘the world’s foremost online bookmaker and gaming company.’ That’s the name that will be emblazoned all over the front of the new shirt, which comes out within the next couple of weeks.
The club says, the deal is for an initial 12 month period only, which suggests that both parties will take a good look at each other to see how it suits them. Forest also say that the deal is worth a six figure sum, which in this day and age is not to be scoffed at. I must admit, that I was kind of getting used to not having a shirt sponsor this year and was somewhat looking forward to seeing a plain shirt. Ah, well. There’s always next year, when we get the chance to debate it all over again.
