Nottingham Forest are set to add a big name in the coming days, both in size and in stature.

A report from The Manchester Evening News are suggesting that 6’6 goalkeeper Arijanet Muric is one step closer to completing his loan move to the City Ground, having fought off pressure from Preston North End.

Having been impressive during Manchester City’s run to last season’s Carabao Cup final, including saving two penalties in their defeat of Leicester in the quarter-final and keeping four clean sheets in the process, as well as his brief performances in the first team, he comes with very high praise from Pep Guardiola, who has been quoted as saying “Aro is so big and the pressure for the opponents is not easy because his reactions are so quick.”

So when this sort of praise comes from a man as highly esteemed as Mr Guardiola, it’s no wonder that lots of Nottingham Forest fans were over the moon that such an exciting prospect is potentially days away from pulling on the famous Garibaldi.

However, there were some fans who aren’t too keen on making this move, mainly because they feel it would be harsh on the current number one Costel Pantilimon. Whilst one fan didn’t see the point in making it a loan deal because Forest would just end up going in circles and having to do the same next summer.
