Forest striker Nathan Tyson wants his Forest future sorting out over the summer and hopes that a new deal will be on the table before the new season starts.

Tyson wants to stay at the club and says he’s happy to tie himself to the City Ground for the long term. He told the Nottingham Evening Post. ‘I will see what happens in the next few weeks. I am sure I will be going in to speak to the gaffer about my future. I have a year left but, if they want to extend my contract, hopefully now is the time to do it. I am happy to stay, there is no question about that. I do not want to leave.’

A contract extension for the clubs’ number one striker would be beneficial for both parties at this stage. It would also end any speculation about moving away, which would be inevitable with only a year left on his current contract.
