Tyson Faces Scan

Nathan Tyson will undergo a scan on Monday to find out the extent of the damage to his hamstring. The Reds striker went off after 38 mins of the 2-0 win against Port Vale.

Tyson was at his menacing best yesterday before going off and being replaced by Grant Holt. He set up the goal for Agogo to give Forest the lead in the game and was a constant threat to the Vale defence.

Calderwood told the official site. ‘He came off a few games ago with a similar problem, but this time it was a lot earlier in the game and that’s a cause for concern. We will get it scanned on Monday just to see what the problem is. He had a feeling of cramp in his hamstring and we’re hoping there’s not a tear in there.’

It might be clutching at straws, but he did walk off the pitch unaided and did not appear to be limping badly. One thing is certain. If he is out for any length of time, it will only add to our striker woes. Agogo is off shortly for the ACON and with Sinclair still out injured backup is in short supply. Any chance of a new striker in January Colin?
