Forest fans had to endure a goal drought that lasted more than 10 hours and 7 games, before they found the net 3 times at Ipswich on Monday. Striker Marcus Tudgay opened the scoring for the Reds’ and became the clubs’ top scorer so far this season with his second.

Tudgay has so far bagged 6 goals in 21 appearances for the Reds’ so far this season. He found himself frozen out of the team under previous manager Steve McClaren, but he’s been a regular under new boss Steve Cotterill.

Tudgay told BBC Sport. ‘I know about my ability and know I can score goals. It’s been a lot of games without a goal but I am not one of those players who gets down. I keep training hard and working hard. I’m a striker judged on goals but I don’t get down.’
