Nottingham Forest completed the signing of Aston Villa’s Aaron Tshibola on Monday with the midfielder secured on loan until the end of the season.

Tshibola was signed from Reading by Aston Villa in the summer by former Villa boss Roberto Di Matteo but the arrivals of several midfielders this month – including Henri Lansbury from Forest of course – has seen Steve Bruce agree to his loan exit.

22 year old Tshibola – who signed a four year deal at Villa Park in June – has made 10 appearances for Aston Villa this season with his one goal coming against Newcastle back in 2010.

His confirmed arrival could be followed up with a return to the City Ground of a familiar face as our former player Luke Chambers could be signed before the transfer deadline.

After making over 200 appearances for the club during five years Chambers left Forest to join Ipswich on a free transfer in 2012 but with his contract at Portman Road expiring at the end of the season the 31 year old would be available on a Bosman again.

Sky Sports is reporting the Ipswich captain – who has made 30 appearances for the Tractor Boys this season – is in talks with Forest about this potential City Ground return.
