Loan signing Lee Tomlin has said he’s expecting a very tough game against Hull City tomorrow but with them taking FA Cup victory a fortnight ago, he knows Nottingham Forest will be out for Championship revenge.

Having signed for Forest on deadline day, making the switch from Cardiff City, the striker made his club debut from the bench in the game against Fulham last weekend but his only focus tomorrow is on the three points that are available.

Speaking to the Official Forest Site as he previewed the game, Tomlin explained.

‘It is going to be tough but every game in this league is tough. It doesn’t matter if they are top or bottom of the league, there is every chance you could lose the game. It is a battle every single game so we will have to be on our game and hopefully we can get the three points.’

As for the move itself, Tomlin went on to say he felt he was settling in well now and obviously the opportunity to work with Aitor Karanka once more featured in his decision to make the switch.

‘It has been good. The lads have been unbelievable, having a laugh and a joke, but we have been working hard on the training pitch. It feels like I have been here for months already. It has been perfect, everyone knows what we have to do and that is win games.’

He added.

‘It is good or me to come closer to home, to play games but also to team up with Aitor again. My family are from Leicester; they aren’t too happy with me signing here but that is football! It feels good to get back home, I am excited to get going and hopefully we can win some games for Nottingham Forest.’

Talking about what fans can expect from him, if they aren’t already familiar, he ended by saying.

‘When I get the ball, the fans are often excited to see something happen and to see what I can do, things like flicks, tricks and nutmegs. Hopefully I can do those things to get the fans excited and off their seat and hopefully it will be when we are winning games as well.’
