Any business that Forest hope to do in this loan window, will have to be completed by 5pm on Thursday. After that, only emergency loans can be made and then, only in exceptional circumstances.

This week CC and the club ensured the signature of Coventry City keeper Dimitrios Konstantopoulos, as backup to Paul Smith. But CC today hinted in the Nottingham Evening Post that he may be on the lookout for a new player. He said. ‘We just need to make sure we have cover. I am not sure we are in desperate need but what we don’t want is to pick up two or three injuries. But, at the same time, we have seen what Garath McCleary can do, we have seen what Mark Byrne can do and we have seen what Emile Sinclair can do again.’

Robert Earnshaw and Freddy Eastwood are names being touted around, but neither are likely to come as cover. One slightly worrying piece of tabloid gossip today, comes from the everso reliable Daily Star. In it are claims that Ipswich are set to make a £1M bid for Sammy Clingan. Not sure of the validity of this one, being as his contract is up for renewal in the summer and he could leave on a free.

Either way the window shuts at 5pm tomorrow. Will Forest make a signing, or will the club try and make do with what we have? Join in the debate on the forum and have your say.
