They Think It’s All Over

Forest fought out a 0-0 draw with Swansea City at the City Ground last night and had to settle for a share of the spoils.

The Swans maintain their 11 point gap at the top of the table and are at present looking good for the title. Their fans though, should take note that even an 11 point gap can soon be whittled away and they should not rest on their laurels.

They have become famous in recent years for bottling it when it comes to the crunch, whether they do the same again remains to be seen. There are still a lot of games to play and this season is far from over. Looking around the various message boards, they appear to think the title is already won (and they call us arrogant).

It has to be said that they did look a tidy outfit last night, but over confidence should be guarded against and I wouldn’t be shouting quite so loudly from the rooftops just yet.

Forest gave them a good run for their money in the game, but lacked the cutting edge a couple of new signings might bring. If we get the required additions to strengthen the squad, then we can have that same confidence ourselves. Only we will hopefully keep our feet on the ground and not get too carried away. And just a word to all the Swans reading this who are about to swamp this board in indignation, I think you can win the title and on last night’s performance may well go on and do what you’ve failed to do in the past. All I am saying, is you’ve won nowt yet.
