Who says fans aren’t excited about the League Cup?

Try telling that to these Forest fans.

Whether it’s because they expect to do well in the competition (a tad unlikely), or because they want to use it as a way to get some momentum for the league campaign (more reasonable), fans are feeling confident ahead of tonight’s game with Fleetwood Town. Or perhaps they’re just excited at the prospect of knocking out a side managed by Joey Barton, because it’s always fun to get one over on him.

The club Twitter account asked fans for their predictions ahead of the game, and it seemed as though the majority of Forest fans were convinced that they’d come out victorious tonight. The only contentious point amongst the supporters was by how wide the victory was going to be.

Although they weren’t all confident, perhaps this chap wants to go down the ‘get out of the cup to focus on the league’ route given his prediction. A sensible route if you’re playing a big side, but when you’re playing a side in a lower division to you, surely you can’t be that pessimistic?
