Zach Clough is on the periphery at Nottingham Forest and Bolton Wanderers supporters want him to return to the Macron Stadium on deadline day. The Trotters have already signed Liam Bridcutt and Daryl Murphy and would be signing a third player from the East Midlands if they brought Clough back.
The 24-year-old has been out of favour at the City Ground and spent the second half of last season on loan at Rochdale (January 31, 2019 – May 31, 2019) to get regular football. Clough’s stint at the Spotland Stadium didn’t go to plan, however, and he’s struggled to find much interest ever since.
Bolton fans still hold him in high regard after he rose through the youth ranks to the first team in 2015 and returned on loan (January 31, 2018 – May 31, 2018) one year after joining Forest. Wanderers have been signing out-of-favour players in the Football League to build their squad for a survival push, and fans say they would love to see Clough return.

The transfer window closes at midnight and it appears Bolton’s business has finally finished for the day. They were very active, bringing in nine new faces, but Clough looks set to stay at Forest until January.
