The dust has yet to settle on the 2010/11 football season for Nottingham Forest, but the summer transfer rumour mill is already running at full steam ahead, with a long list of players on their way out and as many coming in. One way or another, it’s going to be a busy summer on Trentside.

The latest player being linked with a move to the City Ground, is Preston North End defender Billy Jones. The 24 year old is predominantly a right back, but can play anywhere along the back line and even in midfield. He’s out of contract with the Lillywhites and has refused a new deal with the relegated club. Forest fans will remember him only too well from earlier this season, when he scored a 6th minute injury time equaliser for Preston, in the 2-2 draw at the City Ground back in March.

Another name being hotly linked with a move to the Reds’, is Ipswich Town midfielder David Norris. Various sources, including the BBC are saying we’re in a battle with Leeds Utd to sign the 30 year old player, who is also out of contract with his club.

It wont be all one way traffic at the City Ground though this summer, as Billy Davies (if he’s still in the job) goes about rebuilding the squad for another attempt at gaining promotion. Depending on who you believe, Tyson is off to Sheepsville, Earnshaw is signing for Leicester, McGugan is off to Villa and Guy Moussi is set to sign for Everton, Stoke, any other Premier League club you care to mention, or even back home to France.
