The Men In Black: Tranmere Rovers

The referee for the home game with Tranmere Rovers will be Mr. Mike Thorpe from Suffolk.

He took charge of two games involving the Reds last year. The 2-1 away win at Chesterfield, where he gave us a dubious penalty after Junior Agogo tripped over fresh air in the penalty box. That day he brandished his yellow card 5 times. He also refereed the 1-1 home draw with Rotherham towards the end of the season, booking two players.

So far this season he has taken charge of 13 games, dishing out 33 yellow cards and 1 red. In 37 games last year he booked 109 and sent 6 off.

Mr. Thorpe will be ably assisted on the line by Mr. M. J. Foley and Mr. S. J. Rushton. The 4th official will be Mr. R. Fletcher.
