Premiership referee Mr. Mark Halsey from sunny Lancashire gets the gig for the nPower Championship game at the KC Stadium tonight between Hull City and Nottingham Forest (KO:5.20pm).

This will be the first time since the 2008/9 season that Mr. Halsey has had the privelege of refereeing a game involving the Reds’. Last time out it was for the 2-0 away win at Carlisle, during our stint in League 1. He had to give up football midway through last season, due to illness and after having surgery to remove a cancerous tumour in his throat. He’s made a remarkable recovery and is now back to his card waving best.

So far this campaign he’s taken charge of just 3 games in which he’s dished out 5 yellow cards and 0 red. He’ll be ably assisted on the lines by Mr. D. Bond and Mr. P. Thompson. The 4th official will be Mr. E. Ilderton.
