The Football League have brought out their big guns for the relegation battle at the City Ground today between Nottingham Forest and Coventry City. Premier League and FIFA listed referee Mr. Mark Clattenburg from sunny Tyne and Wear, gets the gig for this all important encounter.
The last time Mr. Clattenburg had the pleasure of refereeing a game involving the Reds’, was last seasons’ trip to QPR. An incident filled game resulted in a 1-1 draw for us, but Radoslaw Majewski was issued with a straight red for a two footed challenge on QPR’s Adel Taarabt, mid way through the first half.
So far this season Mr. Clattenburg has taken charge of 24 games, in which he’s dished out a whopping 76 yellow cards and 6 red.
He will be ably assisted on the lines by Mr. Peter Bankes and Mr. Adam Nunn. The fourth officials will be Mr. Robert Madley.
