The match officials for todays game at St. Andrews between Birmingham City and Nottingham Forest have been announced.

Mr. G. Laws from sunny Tyne and Wear gets the gig today and it will be the second time this season that he’s taken charge of a game involving the Reds’.

Last time out, it was the 1-1 draw at the City Ground against the tractor boys of Ipswich. He was on the ball that day, because he managed to book Andrew Cole in one of his few appearances for us. Mr. Laws did very well, as Ole King Cole was only on the pitch for 66 minutes before being substituted.

So far this campaign, Mr. Laws has officiated in 25 games. He’s dished out 48 yellow cards and 3 red.

He will be ably assisted on the lines by Mr. S. Burt and Mr. G. R. Young. The 4th official is Mr. C. J. Knowles.
