Mr. Geoff Eltringham from sunny Sunderland gets the gig for the nPower Championship game at Ewood Park tomorrow, between Blackburn Rovers and Nottingham Forest.

Mr. Eltringham has already had the pleasure of refereeing a game involving the Reds’ this season, when he took charge of the 4-1 home defeat to Wigan back in August. Forest played reasonably well that night, but we weren’t helped by a couple of dodgy decisions from Mr. Eltringham, even though he did send off Antonio Alvaraz for the visitors in the second half.

So far this campaign, he’s taken charge of 18 games, in which he’s dished out 43 yellow cards and 4 red.

He will be ably assisted on the lines by Mr. David Benton and Mr. Mark Duncan. The fourth official will be Mr. Alan Clayton.
