How do you think Nottingham Forest have done so far this season?
Be honest with yourself.
As we step into part two of the season after the international break, I feel like it’s important that we reflect on just how well we did in the first section of the season. Having changed managers in the summer, and with Sabri Lamouchi branding the division ‘the worst league in the world’, it was always going to be tough for Forest to get things going in the right direction straight away, but I think he’s done pretty well so far. Even better when you consider who the opponents have been.

It’s something that is pretty obvious when you stop to think about it, but it’s odd that I needed the image to remind me of the fact. When you take a look at who Forest have faced so far this year, every single one of them currently sit above us in the table. And when you consider that we’ve been able to put together an undefeated run, halted only by Aro Muric’s mistakes against West Brom on the opening day of the season, that we should be able to put this down as a success, even though our position in the table might not reflect that.
I’ve said before that I have high hopes for Nottingham Forest this season, and this opening month of the season shows that we’ve got an excellent platform to build on going forward. If Lamouchi has adapted to the league so quickly, then just think of what we’ll be able to accomplish now that he’s over the bedding in period?
So even though there may still be a small minority of people that are ‘Lamouchi Out’ even at this early stage of the season, hopefully the league table is a good way to keep those dissenters at bay for some time.
