It has been confirmed that we have secured the permanent signing of Costel Pantilimon from Watford for an undisclosed fee.

It’s been a superb summer so far for the club, and the news of the club’s eighth new addition during this transfer window has gone down well with fans.

On Twitter, the reaction to the big Romanian signing on the dotted line has been extremely positive:

Verdict:

Credit to the club for getting this one over the line. Costel was excellent during his six months with us at the back end of last season, and it’s great to finally get a new number one through the door.

We needed to strengthen in goal, and now Aitor Karanka has got his man, hopefully, we can now move on to secure Lewis Grabban’s services. The Bournemouth striker has apparently held talks with us, according to the Sun, with the club now favourites to secure him for a reported £5m.
