Team News: Nottingham Forest without four players for QPR clash, duo could return

|

Nottingham Forest have confirmed they will be without two players for Saturday afternoon’s trip to face Queens Park Rangers – Jack Colback (suspension), Yohan Benalouane (suspension), Tobias Figueiredo (fitness), Michael Dawson (fitness). Tendayi Darikwa (hamstring) is doubtful and will be given a late fitness test, but Sam Byram is available for selection after recovering from concussion.

Colback is out for the rest of the season after receiving a three-match ban for picking up his 15th yellow card. He was booked against Sheffield United on April 19 and now has to sit out Forest’s remaining fixtures. Benalouane will be out for one more match, having been given a two-game ban for a straight red card also against United. Dawson and Figueiredo are back in training but are short of match fitness and won’t be rushed back into the starting lineup.

Darikwa has been out of action for nearly a month with a hamstring injury, but the lack of an update on Forest’s official website suggests he’s nearing a recovery. With Byram, Matty Cash and Saidy Janko available, however, he’s not going to be risked by O’Neill. The Reds may fancy their chances to beat an underperforming QPR side, although results away from home have been an issue.
