Vital Quotes:

Time to stand firm

Swansea City Team News:

Ferrie Bodde has been ruled for the season with a cruciate knee ligament injury, Influential Captain Garry Monk is still sidelined with a calf injury & Stephen Dobbie (ankle) and midfielder Mark Gower (hamstring) are also still out. Guillem Bauza made his return to action in a reserve match last week but this may come too early for him. Tom Butler could also return after a knee injury

Player to watch: Lee Trundle

The fans favourite has already bagged 5 goals despite only making 7 appearances this season & 6 of those were as a sub. Will surely get his chance in this game after coming on at half time & scoring the winner in their mid-week game against Plymouth.

Nottingham Forest Team News:

Guy Moussi is set to return to the squad after an ankle injury leaving us without Julian Bennett as our only real injury concern, you begin to wonder if we’ll ever see Jules pull on a red shirt again.

Player to watch: Majewski

After missing the mid-week goalless draw with the blades he’ll be looking to get back in the starting line up to prove his worth.

Match Facts & Stats

In the previous 54 league games between these two teams it really couldn’t be closer with Forest having won just a single game more after taking 21 victories and Swansea 20 (13 draws) & there isn’t a great deal of difference on the goals front either with Forest having scored 89 of the 170 goals this fixture has produced. It’s been fairly close in recent years too with 4 of the last 5 games being drawn.

Swansea have kept clean sheets in 11 of their 20 league games this season & have conceded fewer fouls than any other club (181). Forest are unbeaten in 12 games & unbeaten away from home in 9 month, a run of 13 games.

Ref Watch:

Simon Hooper of Wiltshire will take charge of this fixture.

Richard Martin of Somerset and Geoff Law of Leicestershire will be his assistants & the 4th official will be Andrew Turner of Devon.

Match Prediction:

Forest are on an unbeaten away run stretching back 9 month while Swansea have a good home record and don’t concede many, i have this down as a low scoring draw, I’ll predict 1 – 1 but wouldn’t be surprised to see it end with less goals than that.
