Eddie Ilderton will take charge of this weekends fixture at home to Doncaster, & that usually means goals goals goals

He has taken charge of 22 professional games this season from which he has dished out 42 yellow cards, 3 red & awarded 6 penalties. All three red cards were for second bookable offences. Mr Ilderton is into his 11th year as a professional referee & the highly experienced official has given out 715 yellows from that time, 43 reds & given 92 penalties.

Mr Ilderton has had quite an interesting time refereeing Forest games over the years, in the 2011/12 season alone he took charge of three Forest games which were the 5-1 away defeat to Burnley under McClaren, the 0-3 home defeat to Southampton (when Mr Ilderton took pity on us & tried to help our cause by removing Luke Chambers from the field of play) under Cotterill & saved the best till last with the 3-7 away win at Leeds. Throughout his career he has also overseen a 5-0 Forest win over QPR & a 4-0 home win over Gillingham. He officiated our League Cup exit at the hands of lower league Bradford & has also been the man in the middle for a previous game against this weekends opponents Doncaster with Forest running out 1-2 winners at the old Bell Vue back in 2006 despite awarding a late Doncaster penalty which James Coppinger duly scored. You can’t deny, this referee brings excitement with him to Forest games, if not always delight.

In total he has only actually refereed 9 league games involving Forest from which we have won 5, drawn 2 & lost just two with an aggregate score of 24-16 + that League cup 1-2 defeat

Ilderton has refereed 11 league games involving Doncaster from which they have won 4, Lost 5 & drawn 2 with an aggregate score of 14-16

He will be assisted on the lines by Robert Ellis & Robert Hyde with Gary Sutton active as 4th official.
