Reds’ reserve team keeper Paddy Gamble has joined Mansfield Town on loan until December.

Gamble spent most of last season on loan at the Blue Square North side Stalybridge Celtic. He’s been on trial with the Stags during the close season and they’ve decided to give him his chance to impress.

He’s only 19 and could still make it with Forest, but many have said his attitude could do with changing if he wants to further his career at the City Ground. The experience of first team football is what he needs and hopefully he’ll get it at Field Mill.

Stags boss Billy McEwan told BBC Radio Nottingham. ‘He got a lot of experience last season and this is the next part of his development. This is a chance for him and hopefully he’s going to take it.’
