The Guardian journalist Ed Aarons linked us with a move for Aston Villa winger Albert Adomah yesterday.

It was a surprising report considering we have an abundance of wide players, as well as the fact that Aitor Karanka has fallen out with the Ghanaian international in the past.

When I asked supporters for their views on Adomah, opinion was very much split down the middle on whether we should make an offer before the transfer deadline:

Considering we have the likes of Goncalves, Dias, Soudani and Joe Lolley, I can’t see us making a move for the 30-year-old. It’s certainly true that Karanka hasn’t ruled out more transfers before the window shuts, but I can’t see us making a move for another winger.

Adomah remains very much a part of Steve Bruce’s first team plans at Villa, and their new owners are under no pressure to sell as demonstrated by their reluctance to let Jack Grealish leave for Tottenham.
