It’s game number 46 of the Championship football season today and there’s everything to play for at the top and bottom end of the table. Although there is little to play for at Glanford Park between Scunny and Forest, that 3rd spot is still up for grabs and I for one want it. We are the 3rd best team in the division, we are definitely there on merit and most of all, we deserve it.

Fester take on ‘Boro at the Walkers and are almost assured of 5th spot. They will have to give Gordan Strachan’s men a right spanking to nick 4th from Cardiff and also hope they get beaten at Derby.

A draw at Scunny should be enough to secure that 3rd spot for the Reds’, so long as Cardiff don’t go and thump the Sheep at Prideless. If the Welsh sheep fail to bag a win, then that 3rd spot is ours, regardless of how things pan out at Glanford.

Blackpool and Swansea fans face a nervy afternoon and will be keeping an ear out for each others results. Swansea had been sitting pretty in the Playoff placings for most of the season, but their recent form has seen them drop down to 7th and now sit a point behind the Seasiders, who have been in magnificent form of late having won 6 of their last 7 games. Forest could well end up facing one of these two in the semis. Blackpool face Brizzle at home, with the Swans entertaining Donny at the Liberty.

The game of the day will be at Hillsborough, when the Wendy’s take on fellow relegation strugglers Crystal Palace, in a good old fashioned, nail biting, relegation decider. The Eagles were flying high and threatening to break into the Playoffs, before entering administration and being deducted 10 points. Palace only need a point to survive, but a win for the home side would see the visitors hoofing it in League 1 next term.

All games are scheduled to KO at 1pm.
