The play-off race is well and truly on and Forest are properly in the mix as we head into the final games of the campaign.

We perhaps would have liked to be further up the table at this point given the players we signed in the summer but, even so, to be in with a shot is more than welcome.

There is plenty, then, to be excited about right now but because it’s our fan-base, there are some that remain unhappy.

At the end of the day, you cannot play well every week but if we win games – as we are doing – then is there anything to complain about? Eventually, performances will come back.

And, that said, Matty Cash has delivered some frank comments that certain members of our fanbase would do well to pay attention to.

This is what he had to say – via the Nottingham Post:

“People are making negative comments about our games, but we are picking up points, aren’t we? And that is what we need to do.

“You cannot play to the best of your ability in every game. We all try to do that, of course; we all try our best.

“But you cannot do it every week, you cannot always be your best – that is just football. Some people understand that, some people do not.”

You can tell who the message is for, now let’s get behind the boys and get this over the line.
