Humbling.

I think that’s probably the best word to describe that performance.

Having torn apart Millwall on Wednesday night, the London side were brought crashing down to earth after an efficient display by Forest saw them come away from Craven Cottage with a 2-1 win.

Forest got off to an absolute flyer, taking the lead inside five minutes. It was scored by Lewis Grabban, but really this goal was all about the build-up as Forest strung together a number of passes before Jack Robinson’s cross floated across the box to find the Jamaican at the back stick to tap it in.

Although this Forest fan was more concerned with the comments of former player Kenny Burns, who wrote a few weeks ago that the club would be better off selling the 31-year-old.

Despite the dominance of the home side in the first half, Forest were able to keep Fulham at bay and make it to the break with the lead intact.

They doubled their lead on the hour mark, once again through Lewis Grabban as he fired his effort in at the near post past a helpless Marcus Bettinelli.

Fulham got back into the game with less than ten minutes of the ninety remaining when Aleksander Mitrovic poked home, and these Reds started to get a little anxious.

When the 4th official signalled eight minutes of added time, those nerves went into over-drive.

But they stood their ground and held out for victory to push their unbeaten run in all competitions to five games. Let’s hope that run becomes six on Tuesday, eh guys?
