Reports from Portugal are suggesting that we remain interested in recruiting Braga midfielder Nikola Vukcevic before the transfer window closes.
The Jornal de Noticias (via Sport Witness) have reported that we are keen on the €10m rated midfielder. It follows a story in another Portuguese publication yesterday that we are battling Levante for the 26-year-old.
Record reports Vukcevic could make a move for just €5m – €7.5m with Braga looking to offload the Montenegrin international. When I asked fans about whether we should be pursuing the player, the majority think we should sign him up:
A move for the midfielder does look unlikely, although with the club having signed so many players this summer, it wouldn’t come as a shock.
It seems the focus in the last few days of the transfer window will be on recruiting a right-back with Aitor Karanka indicating the club have a list of targets with Sam Byram one of the names being considered.
