The Daily Record are reporting that four clubs are pursuing a loan deal for Joe Worrall. Rangers, Aston Villa, Stoke and West Brom are all said to be keen on the defender.
Gers manager Steven Gerrard has admitted he is a big fan of the 21-year-old, indicating the Scottish Premiership side are keen on snapping up the centre-back.
With Worrall looking likely to leave on loan, I polled supporters over whether it would be the right decision. The majority want the player to be part of the first team:
If our no.42 is not going to be playing then it may be best for him to leave to get first-team football on a temporary basis elsewhere. Personally, I would have liked to have seen Worrall given more game time by Aitor Karanka due to his undoubted talent.
The reality is though, there are four other defenders ahead of them; all of whom are deemed to be more experienced at this level by the manager.
