Sell Out At Yeovil On Cards

Boss Russell Slade has called on Yeovil fans to turn up the heat on Forest when the sides clash on Friday.

Slade wants a sell-out crowd at Huish Park and says it could make all the difference over who finishes the first leg on top.

He said: ‘I think there’s something wrong if Friday’s game at Huish Park isn’t a sell-out, something severely wrong.

‘I think our fans will come out, and you don’t have to be a football fan to know how big it is and how good it is for the town.

‘To have the possibility of playing in the Championship and the recognition the town would get from that, and also with the play-off games on live television, it’s great news.

‘Hopefully we are good enough to deserve to go through. We’ve worked exceptionally hard all season.

‘I’m sure Colin Calderwood and Forest have also worked very hard, but things are a lot tighter at our club than they are there.

‘What we’ve achieved with our budget, and in terms of attitude and spirit has been commendable.’

In-form Blackpool striker Andy Morrell reckons he’s never played in a side brimming with so much confidence.

The Seasiders’ front man enjoyed an outstanding day in the 6-3 win against Swansea, taking his season’s goal tally from 15 to 19 and setting up a play-off semi-final against Oldham.

It was the Seasiders seventh victory on the trot and their 12th away win. Only Manchester United have more.

Morrell said: ‘Since the first 11 matches we’ve got it in our heads that even if we play badly we can squeeze out results.

‘We’ve got people that can score goals and change games. We are a very tough team to beat.’

Oldham striker Chris Porter could hold the key to his side’s chances of play-off success.

His winner against Chesterfield was his 23rd goal of the season and his goals have been crucial to the Latics’ campaign.

But he limped off midway through the second half with a knee problem.

‘Apart from the niggling injuries I’ve been pleased with the my season and hopefully we can do well in the play-offs,’ said Porter.

‘I’m really looking forward to it and I’m just hoping I’m fit to play. It’s anybody’s game now and I definitely fancy a trip to Wembley.’
