Quite why they decided to show this clip Iβm not so sure.
Perhaps it was a way to try and cheer people up from the heartbreak that was Friday night at the Den, or perhaps they were going to show it anyway and itβs just a coincidence, either way it was great to see the moment again.
The club Twitter account posted a throwback to one of the better moments in a very poor campaign for the club, a Jordan Smith save from the now famous 3-0 victory against Ipswich Town on the final day of the 2016-17 season, in which three crucial points helped Forest secure safety in the Championship, with that save turning out to be a crucial moment in the match.
And it gave Forest fans the perfect chance to reminisce about that day, although there did seem to some disagreement on just how important that save was in the grand scheme of things.
Regardless of the scorline, wed have stayed up with a 1 nil win but that sure lifted everyones spirits to dig on and get the win

Don't think people appreciate just how good a save this was, I was behind the goal right in line the shot, one of the best saves I've ever seen and definitely one of the most important ones.

That save was crucial in our survival and helped the club on its current upward trajectory. Respek Sir π

Does Jordan Smith have a future at Nottingham Forest?
Yes
No
Regardless of the importance, I think we can all agree that it was a pretty impressive save to make.
