Is there still enough time for him to work things out?
Having missed a large part of the season due to an injury, Ryan Yates has slowly but surely been trying to make an impact in the Nottingham Forest squad and earn himself a regular spot in the first-team. With teammate Ben Watson nearing the end of his contract and fast approaching 35 years of age in just over a month’s time, there might be a spot opening up in the team very soon.
However, whilst he might be doing his best to impress manager Sabri Lamouchi, has he done enough, not just this season but also in the past to convince the fans that he should be allowed to stick around?
Should Ryan Yates be considered for the starting eleven next season?
Yes
No
That was the question that @CityGroundHQ posed on social media the other day, as they asked whether or not fans were fans of the 22-year-old midfielder, and although there were some complimentary comments thrown around, the overwhelming sentiment seemed to be one of ‘good, but not good enough’.
No. Sadly he’s not championship level. League 1 I reckon.

Needs a good season in League 1 before putting the famous red shirt on again

Effort can't be faulted. I'm just not sure the quality is there.

Given more time to produce is natural talent and he will wow you. Just like a young Ben Watson
