Siphiwe Tshabalala hit the headlines in the summer, with his wonder goal in the opening game of the 2010 World Cup for host nation South Africa.

He’s now looking for a move away from his current club in South Africa, Kaiser Chiefs. The 26 year old has made more than 50 international appearances and according to his agent is keen on a move to Europe.

‘Shabbas’ wondefully named agent, Jazzman Mahlakgane told the BBC. ‘He’s very excited – like all players, he wants to play at the highest level and Siphiwe showed at the World Cup he is capable of that. He’s at the perfect age to go overseas but he knows playing in a different environment would be a real challenge.’

. Mind you, if he does that celebration infront of ‘A’ Block, he’s likely to get a slap.

  • Goal is fantastic. However with just 14 goals in 4 years at the chiefs he will need to be impressive in assists and all round play to be a better option than what we’ve got.

  • Well with a week to go in the transfer window and other clubs having spent £63 million its good to see the Non-aquisition Committee giving someone a weeks trial. Brilliant ! No left back (only for 2 years now) No centre half cover for when Wilson leaves for nothing , having turned down a bid of £1m earlier.Keeping Wilson who doesn’t want to stay…..if he plays his heart will be in it won’t it ? I wish I could get a job on the Non-aquisitions committee , getting paid for incompetence and doing sweet FA.
