Rosenior Pleased With Spirit

Brentford boss Leroy Rosenior did his best to throw a protective arm around young goalkeeper Clark Masters after he was beaten twice by Kris Commons free-kicks as Nottingham Forest claimed a comfortable 2-0 win at the City Ground.

The result left Forest seven points clear at the top of League One as Commons took his tally for the season to three.

Rosenior refused to blame Masters for his side’s defeat and is adamant the youngster will learn from his mistakes.

Rosenior said: ‘I am not going to have a go at the keeper, even though he was not in the right position. He is only 18 and he will learn but it was difficult for us to come back from being two down at half-time.

‘Having said that, we really worked hard in the second half and showed a bit more passion and desire. Unfortunately, we could not find that something we needed in the final third of the field.

‘But we can take things from the game. Bit by bit our confidence is coming back and it’s important that we keep up our spirits.

‘We have a massive game against Doncaster next week and we’ve got to be well prepared for that.’
