Nottingham Forest troubled left back Alan Rogers 29 looked set to finally bring the curtain down on his Forest career for the second time after his agent had spent the last two months in daily contact with the Forest board looking at a way in which an agreement could be made over his final year of his contract.

It now seems like Alan Rogers move to Hull will fall apart with the rumour of peter Taylor joining Crystal Palace at tomorrow’s 4pm press conference.

After a couple of months of talks Alan Rogers had finally agreed to an termination of the remaining year of his contract and look set to sign for Hull for 2 years with his rumoured six thousand pound a week wage being halved at Hull.

The readers of Vital had no doubt become tired of the will he or won’t move stories after the Nottingham Evening Post broke a story about him wanting to stay at home i.e. back on his gardening leave and collect on his wage for a year.

There later would become hope for all Forest fans after the BBC website broke the news that Alan was close to agreeing a two year deal after coming to an agreement with Forest only for more speculation about Hull’s current manager to come in the way.

The deal was later placed on hold by Hull until the future of Peter Taylor was decided. With Peter Taylor’s future not looking bright at Hull then it seems Forest will be lumbered with the service of mighty Alan Rogers for his final year unless there is another foolish club that would be willing to take him.
