Roberts Recalled From Rushden

Forest have ended keeper Dale Roberts’ loan spell with Blue Square Premier League side Rushden and Diamonds.

The 21 year old made 13 appearances for Diamonds, who sit in 15th place in the Blue Square Premier League. Last season, Roberts had a successful loan spell with Alfreton where he made 47 appearances.

There have been rumours that first choice keeper Paul Smith has been carrying an injury for some time, so whether the recall is down to that we will have to wait and see.

Cover for Smith is non existent at present and the club have been relying on keeper coach Barry Richardson to deputise, since the ill fated loan signing of Coventry City’s Dimi’ Konstantopoulos.
