Dale Roberts has impressed at Rushden whilst there on loan, so much so that he’s ousted veteran keeper Paul Bastock from the number one spot.
He joined a month ago and has done well to take over from the experienced Bastock.
Although he can be called back at any time under the loan agreement, it does leave the Reds short in the keeper department. At present there is no experienced cover Smith and goalkeeping coach Barry Richardson is currently filling in the role.
