Forest striker and City Ground favourite Robert Earnshaw says he’s in talks with the club over a new contract.

Earnie has been a fans favourite since signing from the Sheep back in 2008 for a fee of £2.65m. His current deal ends at the end of this season and he could walk away for free, unless the club is able to tie him down with a new deal.

He told Sky Sports News. ‘This place feels good and I want to be here. Ever since I have been here it has been so good. I want to progress personally and I want to see this team pushing to go to the Premier League. I have seen this club go from League One and getting promotion to all of a sudden seeing a big change around. We are now one of the top teams in this league and we are looking to take the next step.’

At 29 he still has alot to offer and is still seen as a major force in this division. Although he has struggled with injury for much of this season, securing his services would give the fans at least a massive lift.
