With Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe seemingly ruling out the departure of Jermain Defoe before the loan window on Friday, the club’s attention may now turn to one of their three other targets to replace Ben Brereton.

The teenager’s switch to Blackburn Rovers was confirmed last night and the Nottingham Post believe that the club are interested in Rudy Gestede, Nelson Oliveira and Tammy Abraham, in addition to Defoe.

With the Cherries striker now unlikely to make a move to the City Ground, my favoured target would be Chelsea’s Abraham. I asked fans whether he’d be a good signing, and a large majority think he would be:

The 20-year-old is unlikely to get game time at Stamford Bridge this season, however, the Mirror have reported that he rejected a loan switch to Aston Villa as he wants to fight for a first-team place at Chelsea.
