Marlon Harewood has agreed to sign a four month contract with the Reds, when he becomes a free agent on January 1.

Harewood is now 32 years of age and left the Reds’ in 2007, to join West Ham for a fee of £500,000. He scored 55 goals in 205 appearances for Forest and was a favourite amongst the City Ground crowd during his time at the club. Harewood has also had spells at Villa and Blackpool, as well as loan spells with Wolves, Newcastle and Barnsley, before moving to China in the summer to play for Guangzhou R&F.

The official site says Harewood is unlikely to be available for the away game at Ipswich on Monday, due to the time it will take to sort his international clearance between the Chinese football authorities, the Football Association and FIFA. Welcome home Marlon Harewood.
