Swansea’s Darren Pratley is ‘said’ to be a man in demand and this has seen a ‘reported’ interest from Forest.

No offer, according to what Swansea chairman Hew Jenkins told the official Swansea website, has come in for Pratley from Forest although a ‘private chat’ did take place, but that was it and talks over a new contract with the Welsh side will now open: ‘now that our new manager (Brendan Rodgers) is in place, we will be looking to start discussions with Darren Pratley over a new contract.

‘I had a private conversation with Nottingham Forest a few weeks ago which, as we agreed, will stay private.’

The ‘reports’ of a move to Forest have angered Jenkins who believes, as so often happens in football these days, agents and the like are just looking to stir up trouble and the 25-year-old is going nowhere: ‘I assume that today’s story is an attempt by agents to put pressure on us. It is certainly not a new story, so I am very disappointed. But I can state quite categorically that we will not be pressurised or bullied by anyone.

‘We will deal with things the right way for our football club. I can assure supporters that nobody will leave this club unless the deal is right for us and every other option has been exhausted.’

Would you like to see Darren Pratley join Forest, although this – from the sounds of it – does not sound that likely to happen, does it?
