According to Paul Taylor of Nottinghamshire Live, Sabri Lamouchi wants Tiago Silva at Nottingham Forest this summer. The new Red boss is on the hunt for ‘technically gifted’ players in the transfer market and considers Silva to be perfect for his midfield next season.

The 26-year-old plays for CD Feirense and has made 97 appearances in all competitions since his 2018-move from Belenenses SAD, scoring (14) and creating (17) 31 goals. Silva can operate as a defensive-midfielder, central-midfielder, attacking-midfielder and makeshift striker.

Last season, the Portuguese u21 international contributed eight goals in 29 Primeira Liga games, creating 55 chances, making 31 successful dribbles (70%), averaging 48 passes-per-game with 76% accuracy, winning 23 aerial duels (51%), whipping in 150 crosses with 23% accuracy and averaging a tackle (50) or interception (31) every 32 minutes.

He possesses every facet that a manager would want from a midfielder – creativity, combative quality, composure on the ball, good decision-making and dribbling ability – but whether Forest can bring Silva to the City Ground remains to be seen.

Nottinghamshire Live say the 26-year-old could be a Red by next week, either on loan or in the form of a permanent deal, although the report doesn’t clarify which.
