Claudio Yacob has an uncertain future at Nottingham Forest after falling down the pecking order last season. The 31-year-old struggled for playing time under Martin O’Neill and has been linked with a move away from the City Ground this summer. Greek outlet Sports DNA (h/t Nottinghamshire Live) say Olympiacos are still keeping tabs on Yacob ahead of the 2019/20 season.

Last season Yacob made 16 Championship appearances for Forest, the majority of which came between November 2018 and January 2019. He featured only four times for the Reds in the last three months of the campaign with Ryan Yates and Jack Colback preferred in the middle of the park. Yacob barely made the matchday squad in 2019 so it wouldn’t be a shock if he was sold.

Colback is unlikely to be re-signed this summer and O’Neill doesn’t appear to want the Argentina international to replace him. Instead, Massimo Luongo could be signed from Queens Park Rangers. The Reds will also have Ben Watson, Matty Cash and Adlene Guedioura at their disposal too.

Pre-season has begun at the City Ground, but supporters may not see much of Yacob if reports are to be believed.
