According to Greek outlet Sports DNA (h/t Nottinghamshire Live), Olympiacos still have Joao Carvalho on their list of transfer targets. The 22-year-old had a mixed debut season at the City Ground and struggled for starts in 2019. Nottingham Forest aren’t considering a sale this summer, however.

The Portuguese u21 international made 40 appearances in all competitions for Forest last season, scoring and creating 12 goals. Carvalho made 44 chances, 52 successful dribbles (43%), averaged 30 passes-per-game with 78% accuracy, whipped in 81 crosses with 19% accuracy and made 33 tackles.

The 22-year-old suffered inconsistency and lost his place in the side, however, with Carvalho scoring only one goal since November 28 and going nearly five months without registering an assist. Forest signed him on a five-year deal from Benfica and are willing to let him settle, but the growing interest in the player might be a worry.

Forest finished ninth in the Championship with 66 points from 46 games and struggled for form in 2019. The Reds lost as many games as they won in the last three months of the season and Carvalho may not have appreciated making only four league starts since the New Year.
