According to Alan Nixon of The Sun, Nottingham Forest want £15m for Joe Lolley amid Aston Villa’s interest this summer. Villa will release Albert Adomah at the end of his contract and may view Lolley as his successor. The 26-year-old has been a standout performer at the City Ground and could have an uncertain future in the coming weeks.

Lolley scored (11) and created (11) 22 goals in 36 Championship games in 2018/19, making 84 chances and 110 successful dribbles (58%). The 26-year-old averaged 27 passes-per-game with 73% accuracy, took 136 shots with 33% accuracy and averaged a tackle (58) or interception (36) every 38 minutes. He was named Forest’s Player of the Season for his performances in 2018/19.

Martin O’Neill is desperate to keep Lolley, but the winger is a Villa supporter who used to watch the side at the Holte End. If his asking price is met this summer, Lolley could be open to making the switch. His departure could prove costly to Forest, however, as the club’s objective in 2019/20 is to seal a playoff place.

If the Reds couldn’t make the top-six with Lolley last season, they could struggle even more without him.
