Report: Nottingham Forest have competition from Middlesbrough for £25k-per-week man

According to Rhys Turrell of the Daily Star, Nottingham Forest have competition from Middlesbrough for Kamil Grosicki. The £25k-per-week winger has been linked with a £2.5m move away from Hull City and is attracting interest from a number of clubs as a result of his form in 2018/19.
Grosicki scored (9) and created (12) 21 goals in 39 Championship appearances last season, making 73 chances and 36 successful dribbles (37%). The Polish international has averaged 24 passes-per-game with 67% accuracy and whipped in 207 crosses with 21% accuracy.
With Joe Lolley having an uncertain future at the City Ground, Grosicki could be signed as his replacement. Forest haven’t got a lot of goals and assists from their other wingers in 2019 either – Ben Osborn and Matty Cash haven’t scored since January and have made only two assists between them since the turn of the year.
If Lolley is to leave Forest for £15m this summer, signing Grosicki for 16% of that price isn’t bad business. Both wingers have greatly impressed in the last nine months and contributed a near-identical amount of goals in the Championship last season.
Middlesbrough’s interest could be a potential stumbling block, however, so time will tell if Forest can beat Boro to his signature.
