Claudio Yacob has an uncertain future at Nottingham Forest after struggling for playing time under Martin O’Neill. The 31-year-old made just three Championship appearances in the last three months of 2018/19, racking up a meagre 89 minutes of playing time.

Yacob found himself behind Pele, Ben Watson, Ryan Yates and Jack Colback in the pecking order last season and now has added competition for places following the arrival of Alfa Semedo. According to Paul Taylor of Nottinghamshire Live, Olympiacos are looking to capitalise on the situation.

The Greek Super League side have been interested in Yacob for a number of weeks and could make a move now players have returned from their respective holidays. Yacob was a free transfer signing in September 2018 so he wouldn’t break the bank. It all depends on whether Sabri Lamouchi wants to keep him.

The experienced ball-winner made 17 appearances in all competitions for Forest, but he found himself on the periphery in 2019 and may be open to a move. Yacob could be playing for his third club in only 12 months if he did leave Forest, having only left West Brom in July 2018.
