Nottingham Forest may sell one of their key players in order to finance their summer transfer window recruitment drive, a report from The Daily Mirror, via Nottinghamshire Live, has claimed.
Following the disappointment of missing out on a place in the Championship play-off places in such dramatic circumstances on the final day of the season, Forest will be looking to add to their side in the market in order to mount a fresh push for promotion to the Premier League in the coming campaign.
Now it seems as though the details around just how they will manage to do that are starting to emerge.
According to the latest reports, the club will sell at least one of their players for a high price this summer, in order to help fund their business in the window, and ensure they are able to right the wrongs of the season just gone.
This is an interesting claim around Forest, and if this the approach they are to take, they will have to tread carefully with it.
You do feel Sabri Lamouchi needs to add to his squad effectively this summer, with the club paying the price for not doing that properly in the January window during the second half of the season.
If that does mean they have to sell, then they do have assets they will be able to raise funds from, although they must make sure they do not sell a player they will either find hard to place or struggle to do without even with those new signings, or else that business will have been very much wasted.
