Nottingham Forest’s market value has taken a brutal hit due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, according to reports.

The illness is having a dramatic effect on the livelihood of the British public and the economics of football, due to its global spread since January.

This led to the EFL postponing the 2019/20 campaign until further notice because of the increasing number of cases. Medical experts believe that the virus is yet to peak in the UK, which could further delay the start of the season.

As a result, this has sidetracked football into inevitable insignificance that will define a generation, but Forest officials are still having to work around the uncertainty that comes with these unprecedented times.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said that he could take advantage of the current predicament of the transfer market, which will alert all clubs around them.

Via Nottinghamshire Live (sourced from Transfermarkt), a full list of each Forest player’s value was produced to compare their previous financial figure.

As difficult as this may be to digest for some of the City Ground faithful, it’s important to remember that COVID-19 will not be around forever and that football will soon return to how it once was.
