Nottingham Forest may be showing the first signs so far this season that they are capable of winning the battle against relegation, following another decent performance away at Leicester City.

Both teams shared the spoils in the 0-0 draw at the King Power Stadium last night, but it will be the Reds’, who end up happier with the result. The draw will be a blow to City’s Playoff hopes, but the point earned by Steve Cotterill and the lads, takes us 5 points clear of the relegation zone, with only 7 games left to play.

Forest go into their next game on Saturday away at Crystal Palace, with the chance to make it 4 games unbeaten for the first time this campaign if they manage to avoid defeat at Selhurst Park. It’s a big ask based on what has been served up by the team so far this term, but the lads do look to be showing signs of improvement and that they may yet have the stomach for the fight.

The 7-3 demolition of Leeds a week ago, was followed up with an impressive display at home to Brighton on Saturday in their 1-1 draw. A point at Playoff chasing Leicester has to be seen as a good result and it was in parts another improved performance from the lads.

There’s still a long way to go before the curtain comes down on this sorry season for Nottingham Forest, but at least we can look to the final 7 games with alot more confidence than we had a few short weeks ago.
